Footwear for Your Beach Wedding?

Source: etsy.com via Shannon on Pinterest

If you're getting married on the beach, those six inch heels are out! Your footwear should be all about casual but stylish comfort - and practicality! You don't want to be wobbling around on the sand in shoes that are all wrong for a beach wedding.

Since you have chosen a beach wedding ceremony over a traditional wedding ceremony, you already know that certain things are just not going to work on the beach. So how can your feet still look bridal?

There are a lot of really great options when it comes to footwear for your beach wedding! You can opt for a simple pair of white sandals, or sandals with floral accents. Also becoming increasingly popular is going barefoot - but staying decorative. In the picture above you can see a great example of this! Simple jewellery for your feet will make you feel dressed up, while staying practical.

What would you prefer for your beach wedding - sandals or foot jewellery?

Do You Need a Wedding Planner for a Beach Ceremony?

Having a wedding planner or choosing a wedding package can really help your beach wedding run smoothly. But if you are having an intimate wedding ceremony, do you still need a wedding planner?

Since it will only be you and your groom at the ceremony, it may seem that a wedding planner isn't necessary. But regardless of the size of your wedding, there are still so many things that a wedding planner takes care of. For example, at my dream Maui beach wedding ceremony, a wedding planner would take care of finding the perfect location and the wedding license, along with all of the other details for the ceremony!

Even if you are having a small, intimate beach wedding ceremony, a wedding planner is still a must! Choose a wedding planner that will make sure your beach wedding is as perfect as you have always imagined it.

Planning For a Wedding Reception

If you plan to have a larger beach wedding ceremony, then you need to start thinking about planning your wedding reception. I think a wedding reception is the perfect way to have fun and celebrate your new union with your loved ones!

Decide the budget for your reception first. From there, you can decide if you want it to take place outside, at a restaurant, or at a reception hall. A wedding planner will help you decide which venue is the best for your wedding party needs, as well as what catering, food and entertainment will best suit your budget.

For my dream wedding, I am thinking of something small and intimate, so I haven't decided if a wedding reception is right for me.

Have you thought about your wedding reception yet?

Avoid Tan Lines For Your Beach Wedding

Anytime you go to the beach, it is important to stay sun safe. This is especially true on your wedding day and leading up to it! There is nothing worse than having to deal with tan lines at your beach wedding ceremony. Every bride wants to look perfect at their wedding, so tans lines are a huge don't!

It is important to always wear sunscreen, even when it is cloudy out. In the weeks leading up to your wedding, be sure that you are even more cautious of the sun than normal. If you've already been burnt, try using a self-tanning lotion to try and even out the colour as much as possible. Be sure to treat any sunburns with aloe to help the burn heal faster (and to prevent any peeling.)

Beach weddings are fantastic, but since you will be out in the sun all day, remember to be cautious of the sun - there is nothing worse than tan lines on your wedding day!

Should Your Beach Wedding Be Small and Intimate?

Beach weddings are versatile. This is one of the many reasons why they are so popular! When it comes to your beach wedding ceremony, it is important to decide if you want a large or small wedding ceremony.

There are certain questions you will need to ask yourself: Do you want a wedding party? Do you want to elope to Hawaii? Are you planning on having a lot of wedding guests witness your ceremony? Or, will your beach wedding be just you and your groom?

There are pros to planning either a small and intimate ceremony and a larger ceremony. A larger beach ceremony will be something memorable that you can share with your family and friends, while a small and intimate beach ceremony is a romantic and private moment shared with the bride and groom.

Whatever you decide, your beach wedding ceremony is sure to be incredible.

Why I Want a Beach Wedding

With so many options for a wedding venue - a church, resort, hall, golf course - how does anyone decide where to spend the happiest day of your life?

A long time ago, I decided that a Maui beach wedding ceremony was right for me. Whenever my special day comes around, I will be totally prepared with what I want! (There's no harm in planning ahead, right?) I don't remember exactly when or why I made this decision, but it happened over time. I saw beach wedding ceremonies on TV and become so enamored by the romantic setting. From that point on, I knew that there was no other place for me to get married.

One day, I hope to have a beach wedding. Not only is it an enchanting atmosphere, but it can also be a really affordable option. This is always a plus when it comes to wedding planning! The perfect golden sunset, a wedding package to take care of the details, and the love of my life by my side.....a beach wedding truly sounds like paradise.

My Parents Vow Renewal - A Beach Wedding?

There is something so beautiful about a vow renewal ceremony. Which is why I was so excited when my parents decided they were going to have one! Much to my happiness, they have decided on a Maui beach wedding! Since it is my dream to get married in Maui one day, I am eager to help them plan things! (Half the fun is the planning.)

They are still deciding some of the details (well, my mom is...) but they have decided on something small and intimate. I sure hope that I am able to tag along though! As for the exact location for their Maui beach wedding, I think a South Maui beach wedding ceremony would be the perfect spot.

With so many great Maui vow renewal packages to choose from, my parents still have a few decisions to make.
